Projects and Case studies

Established in 1989, The State Government’s Percent for Art Scheme has produced a large body of public art projects around WA.

The process and results of all projects completed as part of the scheme since 2008 have been documented in a series of brochures, accessible by clicking one of the links below:

Case Studies

The commissioning and development process of some larger-scale projects have been explored in greater detail in the following case studies. In addition to artist and stakeholder testimonials, these case studies provide information on the different commissioning models that uphold best practice principles. Some of the case studies highlight the complexity of the commissioning process for selected projects. They are useful reading for artists, art coordinators, architects and anyone else new to the process of commissioning public art.
