DLGSC Culture and the Arts Grant Programs

Applying for funding in 2019?

The Arts U-15k grant program offers up to $15,000 for artists and creative industry professionals to deliver a one-off project or a program of activity.

Open year-round

Apply at least 25 business days before the planned project/activity start date.

The Contemporary Music Fund Grant Program assists homegrown contemporary music artists with projects that enable them to produce and promote their work, building links nationally and internationally.

The program provides funding support to the WA contemporary music sector across a range of activities. 

Open year-round

U-15k category (applications up to $15,000)

Apply at least 25 business days before the planned project/activity start date.

15k-plus category (applications $15,000 to $60,000) 

Applications open: 22 January 2019

The 2018-19 Regional and Remote Touring Fund supports the costs of touring performing arts shows to regional and remote towns and communities in WA. 

Applications close: AWST 4pm, 28 February 2019

The Arts 15k-plus grant program offers between $15,000 and $60,000 funding to artists, creative industry professionals and organisations to deliver a one-off project or a program of activity.

Applications open: 22 January 2019

Australia Council for the Arts funding

The next round of Australia Council for the Arts grant programs are open now. Western Australian artists and arts groups are invited to apply.

Applications close: AEDT midnight, 5 February 2019

Premier's Book Awards


The revamped Premier's Book Awards, which aim to support, develop and recognise excellence in writing, is now open for entries.

The new format will see the awards reinstated as an annual event and feature three separate Western Australian awards and one national indigenous award.

Applications close 18 February 2019.

The West Australian Major Performing Arts Companies have released the programs for their 2019 seasons.

Black Swan State Theatre Company explores ‘Where the Heart Is’ in 2019, about family, and in particular, the myriad of Australian families.

West Australian Opera and the City of Perth present Verdi’s masterpiece of love, hope and second chances in the annual Opera in the Park.
