Arts Infrastructure
The Department of Culture and the Arts is responsible for the strategic planning and management of the State's culture and arts capital works allocation, by planning, developing and maintaining the State's arts and cultural venues and infrastructure.
The planning, development and maintenance of quality culture and arts facilities is a key contributing factor to the sustainability and vitality of the arts and cultural sector in Western Australia. Quality arts and cultural facilities promote participation in cultural activity and enhance the cultural and economic life of the State.
The State's culture and arts facilitites are a valuable community resource fostering community cultural development, excellence in the arts and the presentation and promotion of Western Australian arts and culture.
