Grants for Artists with Disabilities

Disability and the Arts Initiative (DAII)

The Grants for Artists with Disabilities has now closed. This project was a one off grant opportunity aimed at providing grant funding for artists with disabilities. It also served to provide the Department with information on how to improve access to our other grant programs. Artists with Disabilities are encouraged to contact the Department to find out about future funding opportunities relating to our Arts Development Grants, Young People and the Arts grants, Indigenous Arts Grants, Contemporary Music Grants and Designer Fashion grants.

The Department welcomes applications from artists with disabilities and from organisations working with and for people with disabilities.

Staff at the Department of Culture and the Arts can help you understand how to write an application for a grant. They can help you to work out if you are eligible to apply and which category is best for your project. Family, friends and carers are welcome to attend your meetings with an officer if you would like.

The Grants for Artists with Disabilities was a pilot project funded in partnership with the Disability Services Commission and managed through the Department of Culture and the Arts.
