Indigenous Arts Program
| The Indigenous Arts Panel assesses applications for arts activity in all artform areas excluding film, television and radio. The program supports Indigenous cultural maintenance and the professional development of Indigenous artists in Western Australia. It also acknowledges the rights of Indigenous communities in determining cultural priorities. The Indigenous Arts Panel is made up of artists and arts workers with diverse expertise and in-depth knowledge of Indigenous arts. Indigenous Arts applications are invited in the following categories:

Assessment Criteria
In addition to the assessment criteria of the Arts Grants Program, and the criteria specific to the categories, applicants should demonstrate strengths against one or more of the following areas:
- Support the needs and aspirations of Indigenous* peoples through the arts
- Encourage the expression of traditional and/or contemporary Indigenous culture
- Use of regional resources, especially Indigenous organisations
- Encourage and support exchanges with other indigenous peoples of Australia and/or the world.
Eligibility
See general eligibility requirements of the Arts Grants Program as well as specific requirements for your selected category. Applicants must also demonstrate that:
- Copyright negotiations have been undertaken with communities and artists for applications involving anthologies, music compilations, management of digital rights, research and photography (all photographers must adhere to community protocol procedures), and
- Control and/or management of the activity is by Indigenous people.
