Regional

The Department of Culture and the Arts identifies equity of access as a key issue, facilitating and promoting programs that encourage participation in arts and cultural activities by all regional Western Australians.

The Department offers funding programs for regional arts activity across all artforms including performing arts, visual arts, multi arts, craft, writing, designer fashion and contemporary music and the Artflight funding program.

The Department also provides funding to arts organisations in regional WA and those delivering services regionally from Perth.

Funding Support

In addition State funding is available through several devolved programs which are distributed on the Department’s behalf by a number of non-Government organisations. Some of these have a specific regional focus and all are open to regionally based applicants.

Funding assistance is available to regionally based clients through devolved funding programs.

Each of these organisations will be able to provide you with examples of previous projects funded under each program – this will assist you to gain a better understanding of the kinds of projects which each assessment panel consider worthy of support.  Contact the relevant staff member at each organisation directly for additional information in relation to this matter.
