Grants
The Department of Culture and the Arts distributes funding to individuals and organisations through five Peer Assessment Panels in the following grants programs:
Arts Development*
For applications in all artform areas
Artflight*
Assists artists and arts workers to attend events of strategic signifcance at short notice.
Community Cultural and Arts Facilities Fund
Advancing artistic and cultural activity through purposeful and well-planned facilities
Contemporary Music
For Contemporary Music projects
Designer Fashion
For Designer Fashion projects
Indigenous Arts
For Indigenous applicants in all artforms
Young People and the Arts
For applications for projects by, with or for people aged 26 years and under in all artforms
Grants for Artists with Disabilities
For applicants with a disability in all artforms
More than $4 million in project funds are distributed through the Department over several funding rounds per year.
Applying for a grant is a highly competitive process that requires considerable planning and preparation. Applicants are strongly advised to speak with a Project Officer who can provide information and advice on how to go about preparing an application.
*The Emerging Curators Program and Artflight are assessed internally by the Department.
