The Department of Culture and the Arts logo is available for download for use by grant recipients and other organisations.
The Department of Culture and the Arts logo consists of two components:
The West Australian Government component comprising the Commonwealth coat of arms and the words ' Government of Western Australia'.
The Department’s component comprising the ‘Department of Culture and the Arts’ text and four colour boxes
The two components of the logo must never be separated. Two basic versions of the Department of Culture and the Arts logo are available – Compact or Alternative. Either may be used. Always use the logo supplied by the Department of Culture and the Arts.
The logos are provided in two electronic file formats:
High resolution .eps files - these compressed files can be used for print quality reproduction.
High resolution .jpg files - this compressed file can be used for web quality reproduction.
Never recreate or amend the logo yourself, and never get a designer, artist or computer operator to recreate it for you. Do not scan the logo from a hard copy.
When and where the logo should appear
It is a condition of funding that recipients of the Department of Culture and the Arts funding include the Department’s logo to acknowledge the Department’s support in all promotional material and publications (including websites).
Logos for grant recipients
General grant recipients are required to use either the Compact or Alternative logo.Logos for tripartite, triennial and multiyear funded arts organisations
Tripartite, triennial and multiyear funded arts organisations are required to use the co-badge DCA and Lotterywest logo.
Size and spacing
The Department of Culture and the Arts’ logo must be reproduced such that the width of the State Coat of Arms is no less than 15 mm. For general usage, the State Coat of Arms should be used at approximately 20mm wide.

When the Department of Culture and the Arts’ logo appears with other logos to reflect the Department’s participation in collaborative ventures, the Department’s logo must be equal in size to the logo of the partnership agencies or organisations, but not smaller than the minimum size stated above.
Colour
There are different options for reproducing the logo depending on the document. Logos must not be digitally altered, adapted or changed in any way and must maintain the original colours and proportions.

Mono logos should be used when print quality is questionable.

Using the logo on another website
The logo should appear exactly as displayed, and should not be resized or amended in any way. The dimensions should be set proportionally so that the logo is not distorted. Where possible you should also link to the Department of Culture of the Arts website from the logo.
Incorrect usage
The size, shape, position and weight relationships of the logo and its elements must not be altered.
Do not:
• add other visual elements and text to the logo
• obscure or cover the logo by text or technical processes, such as additional screens of colours
• place the logo in shapes or borders
• crop, trim or bleed the log off a page or in a fold--the logo must always appear in its entirety
• stretch or distort the logo
• rearrange the elements of the logo
• tilt the logo
• use any part of the logo as a graphic element
When placing the logo on a patterned background please use the logo ‘Compact for dark documents CMYK’ .
