Community to benefit from State Government investment in arts

The Liberal-National Government today announced the latest round of Arts Development Grants and reiterated the important role of arts and culture in the community.

Culture and the Arts Minister John Day said a total of $638,124 had been made available to arts practitioners and organisations, it was the broader community which would reap the benefits from experiencing their future work.

The Arts Development Panel assesses applications for arts activity in all art form areas excluding film, television and radio.

All applications to the program were peer-assessed by members of the arts sector - including practising artists, arts managers and individuals with relevant knowledge and experience - appointed by the Minister for Culture and the Arts.
